MIKE SHOVELLER LEADS REDMEN JUNIORS TO VICTORYIts been a long time coming but the Arnprior Junior Basketball Team are UOVHSAA Champions. In the past three years the Juniors were always in the shadow of the winning Redmen Senior Basketball Teams but not this year. Led all year by the outstanding skill & talent of Mike Shoveller, Cody Moore and Andrew MacCaulay to name a few of this deep in talent team. You can't help but envy the schools that pack a gym to cheer on their school team in a championship game. Every school team should have at least one game in front of a packed home crowd. Its been 44 years since I played basketball in highschool BUT I still remember the games where the whole school came out to cheer us on. These memories will last a life time for these kids and thats what its all about. This was the setting in Arnprior. A noisy & deafening crowd was certainly the sixth man for the Redmen. The Redmen edged the Raiders from Renfrew 49-41 in a very exiting and close game. Top scorers for Arnprior were Mike Shoveller with 16, Cody Moore and Andrew MacCauley each chipped in with 11. RCI's Quasim Azam scored for 19, and Cooper Brown had 11 in a losing cause. Congratulations to Coach Phil Moore who had added his winning touch taking the reigns for the Junior, from his years as Senior team coach and all the Arnprior Redmen Junior Boys Basketball UOVHSAA Champions

MOUSSEAU SHINES AS FELLOWES DEFEATS RCI IN SENIOR FINALBrandon Mousseau saved his best game till last. Mousseau scored an outstanding 43 pts. as the Falcons outlasted the RCI Raiders 68-60 in a very noisy Raiders gym. Today must have been Black and Gold day with both girls volleyball teams winning the championship and now the senior boys. The Falcons, a team that has come so close the past couple of years finally can hoist the Senior Boys Basketball Trophy. Congratulations to coach P. J. Weller and all members of the Falcons Senior Basketball team.

FALCONS SOAR THROUGH THE PLAYOFFSFellowes Falcons Girls Volleyball teams swept through the playoffs again this year. The Senior and Junior Volleyball trophies seem to have found a permanent home in the Falcons trophy case. Since 2007 the Juniors have won the past four years and the Seniors the last two years. The Juniors defeated their cross town rivals Bishop Smith 3-1 and the Senior knocked off RCI 3-0 to win the championships. This talented group of Volleyball players will be hard to dethrone. It looks like they will be the teams to beat next season. A dynasty, could be!!!!Congratulations Rob St. Louis and Melissa Lessard and all the members of the Falcons Girls Volleyball Teams.
Just a reminder Fellowes is hosting the EOSSAA "AAA" Volleyball Championship on Tues. Feb. 23rd and Mackenzie High School is hosting the EOSSAA "A" Championship on Thurs. Feb. 25th.
